NAIA

Maybe you're not dreaming of turning pro - maybe you're not interested in the demands of a Divison I or II NCAA school but you still want the experience of playing college sports in the United States.  If so, a NAIA school might be for you.

NAIA (The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) is the body that oversees smaller universities that choose not to participate under the NCAA banner.  NAIA comprises 250 schools and around 65,000 student-athletes and offers high-level competition for many of the same sports offered by NCAA schools.  In addition NAIA schools avoid the hyper-competitive environment of the NCAA by applying rules help ensure that NAIA student-athletes compete against students with similar levels of training and competitive experience. The NAIA Eligibility Center reviews the experiences of athletes who have competed outside the traditional college setting to maintain a level playing field throughout NAIA competition.
